Wear a Hat Day
Fortress Technology had some fun participating in Wear a Hat Day in support of Brain Tumour Research. Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. The goal of this fundraising event is to help fund crucial discovery research in order to find a cure for brain tumours.

Dogs for Good
Meet our sponsored Yellow Labrador puppy, Dolly! She is a lovely, affectionate girl with a really cheeky streak. Once she has completed her assistance dog training at our centre in Banbury, she will go on to support someone with autism, physical disabilities, learning disabilities or dementia, empowering them to live a more independent life.
Meet Ariel, the gorgeous Labrador X Golden Retriever puppy. She is a confident girl who loves to find toys to keep in her bed. She is on her way to becoming an expertly trained assistance dog.
Dolly and Ariel are currently learning loose-lead walking, self-control around distractions and confidence with new people and situations!

Home-Start Charity
The Fortress Technology Europe team collected toy donations over the holidays for the Home-Start charity located in Banbury. These generous donations helped to support families in need and provide children with a bright and happy Christmas.
Fortress Shows Support for NHS
Fortress Technology supports the NHS and the dedicated services they continue to provide for our communities. Phil Brown Managing Director says, “Really proud of my Team for delivering 40 goodie bags to the Oxfordshire Paramedic Team based in Banbury. Stay safe everyone.”
Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning
Each year, Fortress Technology participates in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning where baked cakes are sold internally to staff to raise funds for Macmillan’s Cancer Support. The money goes towards supporting those with cancer to help them live life as fully as they can.

Terry Fox Run
Thank you to the Fortress team, our suppliers, friends and family for your kind and generous donations towards Steve Gidman’s annual 10km Terry Fox Run in support of the Terry Fox Foundation. Fortress Technology has matched the donations for a grand total of $33,788 to help fund innovative cancer research around the world. Since 2001, Steve has raised $328,416. Well done!

Ride for Heart
Congratulations to our first Ride for Heart Corporate Team! With 35 participants, they raised almost $9,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation in 2016.
More than 66,000 Canadians die each year from heart disease and stroke – that’s one every seven minutes. Fortress’s team raised funds to support researchers across Canada who are working on breakthrough treatments that save lives and improve survivor recovery.
Ride to Conquer Cancer
Fortress supported Andrew Frei, Steve Gidman, Pierre DiGirolamo, Dominic Locas, and Phil Brown in the “Ride to Conquer Cancer”.
They cycled cover 200km, from Toronto to Niagara Falls, with thousands of other riders. All proceeds went to The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre to support cancer research, treatment, and services. The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is Canada’s leading comprehensive institution devoted to cancer research and care, and the work they’re doing is leading edge.
Heart & Stroke Foundation Big Bike
Employees have ridden on the Heart & Stroke Foundation’s 29 seat Big Bike since 2007 and have raised over $17,000 to provide funding for heart disease and stroke research.
